Back to work finally after a break for the holidays. My project at work has stalled the past month due to some unforseen issues that I am trying to resolve. This has unfortunately delayed my goal of having a paper written/ready to submit by January. Hoping to quickly get back on track!

Aside from that, likely lots of 3D modelling practise; l want to learn vfx.

Edit; It's interesting being deaf temporarily. I realize how much l rely on sound, like how it suddenly feels like my ear isn't there since the sound of touching it apparently majorly contributes to the feeling of touching it.

Hey, I feel that. I'm a complete novice at skiing but I've loved it when I've had the chance. Have fun!

I've always had trouble finding a reference from videos I've watched so I'm building a small website that lets users search through the transcripts of YouTube channels. You type some keywords and it'll spit out the videos with a link to the exact moment these words were said. It functions well enough but the results are hit and miss because I've used "fuzzy search" which may not be good enough, so I'll work on improving results. I also need to make it look like something that is not from 1992.

    Typical work M-F

Local game dev meet up tonight so I'll be able to possibly put faces to Twitter handles. Then finally back to the gym tomorrow after a two week break, and despite it having been Christmas, I'm still around 270 lbs, which I'm happy about. Not sure what Wednesday evening has in store, gym again Thursday, and then Friday is also an unknown. I don't generally make big sweeping plans.

This weekend marks the start of the 'real' Christmas parties.

The time over Christmas is mostly taken up by obligatory parties from work, extended family, clubs, etc.

Now we begin several weekends worth of the real social sub-group meet-ups where the only people there are genuinely close friends and people I choose to spend time with. These are the parties in which I don't feel the overwhelming urge to sideline myself and wait them out until a reasonable amount of time has passed that I could slip away without causing a scene.

I really want to leave my father's house, so I'll just be alternating between working, looking for a new job, and helping my father.
