How can I buy some Marvel comic books for my Swedish nephew?
So my nephew is Swedish and lives in Gothenburg. He’s 5. Apart from small kids' stuff, my sister says she never saw comic books being sold in her town. My nephew’s favorite superhero is Spider-Man. On his last trip to Brazil, he loved my comic books. He cannot read yet, but my sister reads for him (she will skip anything inadequate for his age, of course. He can always reread later). She thinks he would prefer getting several small issues (48 pages usually I believe?) than a single book with the same page count (it's "more stuff" in his mind :P). The preferred languages are Swedish and Brazilian Portuguese (not European Portuguese). I would send him some in Portuguese but shipping would be slow and super expensive.
So, are Marvel’s monthly issues even published in Swedish? If so, how can she acquire those?
Sadly I think few exists in Swedish. Most kids who read X-men have at that age learned English well enough to be able to just have those so they aren't published any more.
I know one place that may very well have older comic books though, and loose single issue comic books and its a used bookstore at Stigbergsplatsen. Its one of those with bins of stuff so you have to go dig a bit.

EDIT: SF Bokhandeln is also awesome, and I would suggest to your sister to drag him past there and ask about comics in Swedish. Its probably not that many and no Marvel/DC stuff but there is a metric fekkton of stuff there. Jenny who runs it is awesome and she makes just going there a treat for anyone.
Also one other good reason is that Swedish isn't very well fitted to comics and the naked bombastic titles of the heroes. Batman was translated in to "Läderlappen" (Patch of Leather) which is I suppose a way to say "Bat" and better than the other correct one which is "Fladdermus" (Flittering Mouse). Spiderman was easier but... still most of the names sounded weird and convoluted in Swedish.
EDIT2: a friend of mine is Brazilian-Swedish and he wants his daughter to learn Brazilian Portuguese I can check with him if he knows any good resources to find kids stuff in that language.
OH and finally. My husband works in a library - they probably don't have any Marvel comics in Brazilian Portuguese but your sister should seriously swing by a library (the city one is closed, the one in Biskopsgården is open, I know that much so if she lives close to there its a good choice) and just ask a librarian for help finding stuff like that to borrow.

Unfortunately Marvel has always been pretty shitty as far as language accessibility is concerned, AFAIK. There used to be an app called "Marvel Global Comics" where you could buy their comics translated to a bunch of different languages, but that is no longer even available on iOS, and has basically been abandoned on Android. And I'm pretty sure Marvel Unlimited does not offer other languages for comics either. :(

One of the reviews on google even states they have Swedish translations of American comic books, so you may get lucky if you check with them.
According to Swedish wikipedia, Spider-Man hasn't been published in Sweden since 2013.
Older publications are readily available on various Swedish online bookstores. Google translate works well for Swedish as a language.
I see. Old comic books in Swedish would be fine. Are you aware of any bookstore that might have those?
