What did you do this week?
As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their week. Did you accomplish any goals? Suffer a failure? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!
Got crap sleep for a couple days, but the painters working on my apartment complex made sure I woke up at a reasonable time on my days off. Both a blessing and a curse I guess. The first night was because I decided to try to hack together a turn-based movement prototype in Godot for two hours, turned into four, and the second was anxiety because I was mentally fried from going to school on five hours of sleep. I got six last night, so I'm actually awake today!
I bought a Logitech M570 for like $20 and M510 for full price (only $25). I'm getting some shoulder pain from mousing all the time and want to try to only use a mouse for when I need it like first-person games, and figure with rechargeable batteries and a Logitech Unifying Receiver I can connect both devices at once, and switch as needed.
I also helped set up the GMMK Pro for the Vial project, which provides a far better experience than the GMMK configuration software, and after contribution from another community member, full encoder support (my PR didn't account for Vial's encoder features, which somebody else fixed, but I got the RGB working properly). We only got the ANSI version working, and I'm sort of hoping somebody will step up and make the handful of changes for the ISO version. I need to re-port my bm40hsrgb (full rgb 40%) but I don't remember how I got the firmware to build at the right size the first time.
