    Not trying to excuse the inappropriate dumping of megabytes of JS into webpages and careless inclusion of blocking non essential elements, but I think it deserves mentioning that sometimes you know your market and can assume a certain level of bandwidth above the median. The question for non essential sites should not be “does my site load quickly for the average internet user” but rather “does my site load quickly for my average user”.
