    I'm still struggling to see the 'need' for me in a foldable phone. The technology still feels a bit like 3D TV's were back in the day, a solution looking for a problem, or a way for manufacturers...

      I'm slightly inclined to try a phone that folds from normal phone size to half the size, mostly for ease of portability (because women's clothes often don't have pockets kig enough for a modern smart phone).

      However my current phone is in good enough condition and modern phones are so expensive so I'll probably sit on the idea for another year (I said that last summer too).

      I really miss being able to hang up on someone by forcefully clicking my phone closed, and for me that's the only major selling point of a foldable phone. Being able to fit it into a slightly smaller pocket is also a plus, but a much smaller one. Since I would be scared to break the screen if I slammed any of these phones closed, they're missing the only major selling point for me.

    Why bother to have selfie cameras at all when you can just flip the regular cameras toward you? I enjoy following this tech, but it's going to be a long time till the price of these foldables...

    I enjoy following this tech, but it's going to be a long time till the price of these foldables comes below my pain threshold. My last two phones have been in the $300 range, and unless I somehow acquire F-U money I see no reason to spend more than $500 on a phone.

    i read the title of the article like this phone was released and doesnt look anything like the leaks that happened previously looked like. here i was scanning the article looking for the comparison between the two. and i dont ever see myself needing or wanting a folding phone.
