Recommended tablet apps for Android?
I got a tablet a few years ago, and I've struggled to use it as anything other than a big phone. Sure, it's really nice watching videos on the larger screen, and messaging is nicer too.
Do you guys have any recommendations for apps that are either tablet only, or have a much better experience on a tablet? I have a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite running Android version 13.
On a semi-related note, I am looking for good emulators for android(NES, SNES, Genesis).
RetroArch is a good emulator but setup is not super easy.
JoiPlay allows you to run visual novels and other games made originally for PC.
You can easily sync an Xbox gamepad.
Game Pass is a good deal, and Xcloud allows you to play console games on the tablet through the cloud. It's fine, but not perfect. And you must have an Xbox controller.
Excellent, I will definitely check out RetroArch. Complicated setups don't really intimidate me. Thanks for the tip!
Honestly there aren't that many apps that are useful for general use beyond all the random messaging apps that are only necessary because everyone is scattered across Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Signal, WeChat, Discord, Telegram, etc. (it's honestly ridiculous how many different messaging apps there are).
Acrobat reader. Reading PDFs on the bus with a tablet is the best.
I have moon reader for reading books. What makes Adobe better than moon?
Haven't used moon so I wouldn't know. But I do download PDF files and read them with Acrobat and find it generally works better than whatever the default in the web browser is.
