    I'm not a big IG person so I'm probably not the target audience for this "feature", but I liked it better when people just reposted stuff to their stories if they wanted to share. Then I could check it out it if I clicked through their stories vs it potentially clogging up my feed. I get that they probably are doing this for that exact reason - stories are time-limited and one can easily not look at them/miss them but this way the posts can show up right on your feed.

    For those unaware, this is directly competing with TikTok’s own repost feature. Essentially, people repost content that is relatable or represents their hobbies/interests and it gets added to your profile. Reposts from your mutuals also get boosted onto your algorithmic feed.

    It’s a way to get an inside view of what another person is interested/passionate in without having the commitment of sending videos to each other. I’ve had some interesting conversations start because of the videos i’ve reposted, for what that’s worth.
