I’m wondering, is this the right thing to do?
First, this guy broadcasts his self-destruction, which has something perverse to it (peeping at someone staring in his own abyss).
Second, there’s some quasi-journalistic post-mortem about the career which focuses on all kinds of superficialities. Perverted^2.
Third, now I’m commenting on the whole thing to inflate my own ego somehow. Perverted^3.
Anyhow, the most jarring thing is how hurt the children must be by this selfish acting.
And, as this event keeps being spectacularized (made into a spectacle), the live streaming of perverse acts will be further normalized. Which could be the greatest danger that follows from this event.
Too bad that the dude tried to kill himself, but it's hard to have sympathy for such a cynical, awful person.
