Hi again, you might remember me from your previous thread where I was very critical of your privacy policies.

Have you made any changes to your privacy policy? Last I checked it didn't say if or what data you share with third-parties, and I identified at least 4 third-parties you were sharing people's data with.

How about intercom.io? That seems like another analytics/tracking company.

And then, how about your servers? It looks like your US-East gateway still has the same IP as before. So, that's being hosted on Azure? What assurance do I have that Microsoft isn't collecting logs? And all the other servers, who's hosting them, and what are their privacy policies?

Incidentally, that IP used to be directed to vpnvault.io, which is another VPN service your coworker is running for free. Is there any reason I should pay for your service instead of using your company's other service for free? If there's this much question about who's handling my data, why am I paying? There are plenty of free VPNs out there with sketchy privacy policies. If you're charging money and claiming no logs etc, you'd better be able to back up those claims.

Thank you for the answer. May I suggest you disclose these things in your privacy policy?

Maybe take a look at this site's privacy policy: https://docs.tildes.net/privacy-policy

This site does a very good job of explaining exactly what data is collected, where, how it's used, and if it's shared with any third party whatsoever. As a result, I trust this site, even though it doesn't contain a lot of valuable data on me. A VPN has the potential to collect massive amounts of very personal data, so I feel it's very important you are clear with your customers exactly what you do and don't track, and who does and does not have access to that information.

I think it's important you let people know every time they view your page they're being tracked by several companies though. You should update this policy immediately, before you take anyone's money under false pretenses.

Your front page says "Your key to privacy", then your about us says "we thrive on privacy". Your "our mission" page talks about how ISPs give your data to 3rd parties, implying you don't. The rest of the about us section talks about torrenting and piracy, which apparently you don't allow, which is also pretty misleading if you ask me.

Your privacy policy is blatantly misleading.

Operating under the jurisdiction of Finland allows us to guarantee our no logs policy, which means that your activities while using the privacy solutions created by Xeovo are not monitored, recorded, logged, stored or passed to any third party.

Does this "using the xeovo service" include viewing the page, logging in etc? Because you're tracking all those pages and sharing all that data with third parties, contrary to your policy.

I really don't feel like I should have to keep pointing these things out. I really hope you just stop, take a look at what you're doing, take a step back, ask some other people if this is okay.

Torrenting is restricted? I couldn't find anything that said that on your website. Considering torrents are a big use case for VPNs I think you should make this more clear.

How Tildes helped launch our VPN

Then the rest of the topic is just telling people how awesome your VPN is and they can use a discount code to buy a subscription.

I missed the linked topic in which you asked for beta tester and apart from people that simply asked for a code and never gave a feeback, the only ones that actually have given one, are all concerned about how you manage the privacy of your users.

And the answers are certainly not encouraging.

    Also:

We got around ~10 active beta testers [...] Most of the beta testers bought our 12 months

How many of them exactly? This feel quite low level marketing and nothing else.

Apart from all of the above, your offer for an european user is quite poor. I live in UK and having a VPN is essential to being able to browse without being constantly blocked by censorship or region locked content. Meanwhile, five servers in the USA. SMH.

Currently I'm using FrootVPN, it looks like you have almost comparable locations: https://xeovo.com/#locations I think the pricing is comparable too. What are the analytics used for?

implement our own analytics tools instead of Google Analytics.

What are the analytics used for?

I'm currently with ProtonVPN, and their inconsistent speeds is becoming an issue. I'd give yours a try for sure to see how it holds up during peak hours.
