It's not really surprising the video Banksy released is pretty much entirely theatrics, the original owner (and potentially buyer as well) had to be in on it and that the shredder had to be a recent addition to the frame. With that said, I don't think it detracts from the humour of the prank or the message... and I imagine the people at Sotheby's were legitimately shitting themselves once they finally realized what was happening. :P
