I was all about Ubuntu in the early days, but I see no reason to use it anymore. If I want stability, I prefer something that is actually stable, like MX Linux (which I'm using). If I want bleeding edge without broken stuff, I'll probably go for Fedora. I've had way too many problems with Ubuntu LTS before, let alone the regular ones. Linux Mint is vastly superior anyway.

In any case, I'm happy Ubuntu exists.

Solus is Evolve OS, it just got renamed.

Relatedly, my go-to personal distro is Solus, which happens to use the Evolve OS package manager for... reasons.

Am I the only one who associates "cosmic cuttlefish" (the 18.10 release's codename) with Cthulhu?

Assuming this means primarily 3D games. Anyone know what kind of performance boost we're talking about on Raspberry Pi specifically?

The Linux 4.18 kernel together with updates in Mesa and X.org significantly improve game performance. Graphics support expands to AMD VegaM in the latest Intel Kabylake-G CPUs, Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, B+ and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.
