I would not like to be the person that has to sift though these memes and sarcasm and figure out what's real and not. It's silly but can you imagine if something did happen and the DHS knew nothing or did nothing, that would be a serious disaster. Not surprising they have to take all threats seriously until disproven.

For sure. "Run them over" was a meme until it wasn't.

Oh, I would not like to be that GOP appointee either, in this era. It would be a lot better if the fourth estate had not been systemicly destroyed by VC backed “startups” (YouTube, and Facebook)...

Oh, I would not like to be that GOP appointee either, in this era. It would be a lot better if the fourth estate had not been systemicly destroyed by VC backed “startups” (YouTube, and Facebook) which promised to replace newspapers (journalists, editors, vetted sources, and the vetted advertising that supported the prior) with some magical algorithms, which optimized for engagement instead of an their best attempt at truth.

It would be ideal if DHS ignored all that bullshit, and stuck with actual news.. but our president says any news which disagrees with him is all fake now, DHS is an extension of the executive branch, and I am just happy that I have duel-citizenship.

Edit: and something like the fairness doctrine should come back and shut the Fox News brainwashing machine down.
