Apple Maps doesn't have a dark mode, so if you're using a dark theme in DuckDuckGo it'll go with MapBox.

There is also an Apple logo in the bottom left of the map and a 'Legal' button linking to Apple Maps Terms of Use and an Apple privacy statement.
FYI, Apple seems to be investing heavily in mapping data, and I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the motivating factors is their reliance on TomTom.

I just tried it, and I prefer Mapbox. It's infinitely smoother.
