Using a direct listing has been rumored for a while now, here's a good article by Matt Levine about it if you're curious about the IPO vs. direct listing significance: Direct Listings Are a Thing Now

Tangential, but I'm really enjoying Matt Levine's (the author of your linked piece) writing for Bloomberg. It's catchy, almost tabloid-esque, and yet still informational.

The linked article is one of his "Money Stuff" newsletters that he writes every day. I'm subscribed to it and generally read it every day (sometimes skimming over really in-depth financial stuff).
