Supposedly Smart Compose is trained "from highly anonymized global corpus of consumer email", so it's not even something that's personal to your own email or writing style. I think that pretty much ruins the point of it, but also means that there shouldn't really be any particular privacy concerns other than... all of your email being included in this corpus without you really being given any choice in the matter (as far as I know).
Spoiler alert: It's not very good yet but, privacy concerns aside, it does save a bit of time.
