I thought this was an interesting piece about an intersection of responsibilities that I'd never really thought of. This kind of builds on something that I think about a lot: we as a society sort of generally respect and appreciate the difficulty and importance of parenting and raising children, but it's still often very difficult to be both a parent (especially of a young child) and really anything else. This is especially true given that the current standard is to have both parents working, often full time jobs (as is the case in this post).
