I must be the only person in the world who hates that everyone uses and most think that 3G, 4G, 5G are something specific.

They aren't. They are generation designations. The type of hardware, software and specifications behind them can and has been different depending on which company is promoting THEIR #G.

Saying 5G is not like saying Intel I7-9600. It's like saying "eighth generation processor". Well, who's eighth gen processor. And how does it compare to that other guy's eighth gen processor. Will stuff for this guy's work with stuff for that guys?

Evidence is there are different 4G standards. Sprint's 4G is faster than AT&T's. TMobile's 4G has a longer range than anyone else's. Verizion's isn't even really 4G. And all of those only give you their benefits if your compatible hardware is within reach of their compatible hardware.

    LTE is a standard. 3G, 4G, 5G are not.

Near zero. To get a signal you'll need one inside the complex.
