    I agree that Google should let you set expiration earlier if you want.

    But it seems like this is mixing up two things: (a) which part of your activity log is commercially valuable and (b) what sort of personal history do people worry about getting exposed? That is, deleting older history might be quite useful from a privacy standpoint, even if the data isn't commercially useful. All the more reason to delete it!
