The fediverse is the coolest thing that I have absolutely no desire to use. I tried out Mastodon (analogous to Twitter) and PixelFed (analogous to Instagram) earlier in the year, and I think they're both great at what they do, but my time on them helped me realize that I ultimately don't want to engage in social media of either type.
I do wish the platforms the best though, and I hope the fediverse continues to grow and mature. Decentralization is an important counter to monolithic companies like Facebook.
