I realize this has practically no effect on my life besides being a historic moment for a "segment [...] dating all the way back to the company's founding through a series of mergers with Thomas Edison's companies", but I can't help but feel a little sad and nostalgic. Seeing the header photo brought me back to helping change lightbulbs growing up, curiously examining both the spent and the new, now remembering clearly the little cursive GE logo printed on the top of each.
I wonder what mundane thing my future kids will remember when they're adults.
