IMO, the left would be greatly delayed since the only way to get news that isn't owned by large companies you would need to find a print magazine that shares your political beliefs, which is really hard, and also applies to social movements, any form of rights for LGBT people's would be limited to the first 2 or 3 letters since those are the only ones with enough people to be taken seriously without the Internet to organize and would also be driven by crisis a lot more, since people can't see beyond their own lives without the internet. I also imagine that porn would probably be limited to 18+ people as intended since young people like me could never get their hands on a porn magazine unless someone gave it to me, a laughable prospect.

As for me, 95% of the people I talk to and the content I have consumed since is made by and for English speaking people with limited subtitles, including most of my political and historical (here I am lol) knowledge. Without it, I would be left with no one but the 20-40 people in my class and my 2 parents who I almost never talk with and loosely understand, meaning me as a person is either:

Someone just like everyone else in my class

Someone godawfully lonely, the kind that goes reactionary for lack of better choice.

Also my actual memory is probably comparable to that of a Trump supporter.
