I...fucking...found it! It's super simple and doesn't have an extractor, but here's an app you can use to privately access youtube, with an embedded player and all that. In my experience, this has entirely bypassed the issues I have with just using it in a browser.
Only problem is, it's a one-developer project who didn't plan on updating it at all due to the invidious project being kinda up-in-the-air. Invidious is in a better place than when this was released, but who knows what'll happen there. For now I'm taking the magic!
