I fail to see how this flaw in particular is what anyone is choosing to focus on given the rest of the platform's reputation.

I think the presumption is that conservative Christians shouldn't like their social media platform being flooded with pornography, but doing anything about it would go against the entire "free speech" ethos Parler promotes.

Reddit's core demographic isn't a group of people known for promoting sexual repression, so the conflict isn't the same.

The other thing is that Reddit has moderation mechanisms in place to hide NSFW content from users who do not wish to see it. Parler has no moderation whatsoever, and never will as that would go against the stated ideals of its creators.

I don't want to pretend I know what you're thinking but it sounds like to me the idea of conservative Christians you have in your head no longer exists in reality in a way that matters politically. I don't think that even the religious component of the Party of Trump cares one bit about pornography -- the people that actually have read the Bible lost that battle long ago. Especially when you consider the age demographics of a website like Parler. The fact that a lot of pornography depicts women being dominated by or otherwise servicing men probably qualifies as Judeo-Christian values in their eyes.

I think they are alive and well, as evidenced by my state declaring pornography a "public health emergency".

On reddit, almost everything that should be is labelled as nsfw, and is only viewable with user consent.

The Post’s review found that a portion of the pornographic posts on Parler had their explicit imagery covered by red warning labels that required an extra click to bypass, but in some cases, the same pornographic images were blocked on some posts but not others. Relatively mild imagery — a woman in lingerie, for example — got blocked in some instances while some graphic, up-close videos of sex acts did not.
