Thought this was interesting. If this sets a precedent that expands as Styx suggests it should in the video, I wonder what the consequences will be for sites like twitter which ban users for political views they disagree with, or youtube which has had a whole host of censorship issues over the past couple of years. I don't expect tildes to be subject to anything relating to this, but i suppose it's something to consider.

Yeah, but Richard Spencer still has a twitter account, so I really doubt they're just straight banning people due to political beliefs.

He's a troll. He makes very polite posts that state as given absurd facts for which he either gives no evidence, or gives youtube videos and similar sources. He then acts surprised and disappointed when people respond angrily. Unfortunately, given the infancy of this site, and the lack of controls, he is able to run rampant.

I think he's referring to the project veritas report perhaps. Either way, citation should be required for things that come off as subjective, so that instead of dismissing things outright I can do my due diligence and form a sound conclusion.

At the same time, one can't come to me with a printed map and tell me it's proof the earth is flat.

The ruling intentionally doesn't impose requirements on Twitter itself. It's only how government agents / politicians use the site that it covers.
