[SOLVED] Question about Tildes RSS feed
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I've done some browsing and haven't found an obvious answer. Subscribing to the a tildes rss feed works great, except that link topics open the link itself, not the Tildes thread. I'd ideally want it to open the thread in the first instance, not the link directly. Is this something that's possible that I just haven't been able to figure out?
The actual item listed by your feed reader should contain a link URL (that goes to the thing) and a comments URL (that goes to the Tildes topic itself). On a desktop RSS reader, you typically have to left-click the item in the feed to display these separate links.
Here's what it looks like in my reader:

A lot of other link aggregator feeds work the same way. Hacker News, Lobsters, etc. (Reddit's feed items always point towards the post though.)
Depending on what reader you use, it might be possible to configure the default URL, but I've never seen that.
Hm, probably beyond me. I can't see a place in Feeder's options to change which URL it fetches. How frustrating!
Anyway thank you, that answers my question.
You can configure the Tildes feed in Feeder to open the item in the app instead of in your browser. That way it'll show both URLs when you click on it.
That worked perfectly! You're a star 😄
