So I actually haven’t been in the mood to watch a lot of stuff. At least not serious stuff. In terms of movies I’ve gone to the theater to watch Lightyear and Jurassic World this past week. I had fun with both.

I’ve just been hanging around Disney+ really. I watched the two episodes of Ms Marvel. I like it. I think it’s cute. I like the style of it and I like the main girl. She’s really good. I also really like the music. Best soundtrack for a Marvel thing since Black Panther.

I haven’t actually been liking any of the Star Wars shows. I like The Mandalorian Season 1, I thought Season 2 was fine, I saw a little bit of Book of Boba Fett and I thought it was terrible (and what everyone else said about the show I feel like I made the right decision). I started Obi-Wan. I was a little eh on the first episode, but as it’s gotten going I actually like it. Probably as much as Mandolorian season 2. It at least looks better than Boba Fett. I think Deborah Chow is a very talented television director. And I think she could be a really good workman film director if she decides to go that way.

even if you don't watch all of the Book of Boba Fett, check the second episode. I really liked the series overall, but this episode (at least for me) was the best.

The Old Man is worth a watch. The plot summary is fairly generic

A former CIA officer, who's living off the grid, finds himself on the run from people who want to kill him.

    or

Dan Chase absconded from the CIA decades ago and now lives off the grid. When an assassin arrives and tries to take Chase out, the old operative learns that to ensure his future he now must reconcile his past.

Its been half-jokingly compared to John Wick. It may go further down this path, and I welcome it. Its full of familiar faces -- John Lithgow, Alia Shawkat, Hiam Abbass, Amy Brenneman, and Leem Lubany (the assassin girl from Condor).

I just watched Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute and it was surprisingly cosy, felt unscripted and honest in many ways.
