I ADORE Jon Stewart and deeply respect him but I mostly agree with the thesis, and the examples halfway through regarding OWS were very painful to watch. I hated the daily show’s format with satirical anchors, and the guest book promotions were as shippable as todays YouTube sponsorship segments.

I loved the daily show but really, what I loved in it was JS, and everything that wasn’t him was painful to watch.

And the fake anchors were just not great in the first place. John Oliver is amazing, but his segments on TDS were awful imo. Anyway none of this is what Skip Intro talks about but still felt like sharing.
