    I think this last episode of Poker Face really cemented it as one of the best TV shows on right now. It’s funny because it functions as a throwback, but it’s refreshing to have something...

    I think this last episode of Poker Face really cemented it as one of the best TV shows on right now. It’s funny because it functions as a throwback, but it’s refreshing to have something “prestigious” that doesn’t fall into the trappings of prestige storytelling. We get complete stories every episode.

    I just started watching HBO's Chernobyl and it frankly feels like a dark comedy, partly because of how it's dramatized (and modified, with well-documented use of creative license by the creators)....

    I just started watching HBO's Chernobyl and it frankly feels like a dark comedy, partly because of how it's dramatized (and modified, with well-documented use of creative license by the creators). Everything is going wrong and all anybody did in the first episode was make it worse, with a couple exceptions. Knowing a fair bit about what happened, it's like watching a horror movie and going "Oh hun, don't do thaaat!" The first episode was equally horrific and compelling, so I'm hooked. I'll have to watch one episode a day because it's extremely grim.
