The stakes will be very high. What they say on TV will go down in history. It has the potential to further divide the country or begin to heal some of the divide. I hope they know what they're doing.

If you’re still pro trump at this point, i can’t imagine what it would take to change that.
I do have concerns what whatever transpires will lead people to commit violent extremist acts.
It has to be out in the open and completely transparent. This will be a media circus no matter what and the last thing anyone wants to hear post-conviction is "Oh, the prosecutor looked at me...

This will be a media circus no matter what and the last thing anyone wants to hear post-conviction is "Oh, the prosecutor looked at me funny when cross-examining" or Trump claiming they prevented cameras to hide the dishonest proceedings that only he can accurately attest to.
Edit: I would argue that the judge needs to make it very clear to any would-be rioters/terrorists that Trump has not bailed out any Jan 6 defendant, not a single pardon or financial assistance rendered to any of "his people" and that he will continue to act in that way because he views them as subhuman scum that do his dirty work and then vanish, like a child dropping a ball off a high chair. If they want to spend 15-20 years or worse "defending" the kind of guy that will inevitably stiff them like he does to anyone else, then their children and family need to concede that Trump really is the most important thing to them over their family.
He's already been pulling his martyrdom schtick all throughout thes various other proceedings and hypothetical trials that won't be televised. He's never exactly been a reliable narrator...
I hope they play that cheesy Trumped up version of the dramatic music it plays at the very end of The Apprentice episodes and in the intermissions of the live finales....

They should play the cab music during sentencing.
