Trying not to spoil but should probably warn for mild spoilers just in case:

It has so many good aspects but ultimately I just thought it became a dud the longer it went on. It started off really well, it was funny and engaging, and the absurdity of the humor was refreshing. Then it became kind of formulaic in the second season, and by season 3 they introduced some a heavy subject matter as well as wanting to make me sympathetic towards a character who is one of the worst pieces of shit I've ever seen on screen. Like, where did the comedy go? Why are they trying to make me care about this awful person? It just did not work at all for me - and it was half of the last season that was spent on this! It was no longer a fun show, just misery pretty much. So weird to do that.

It also ended very abruptly. Without knowing anything about the production, it seems like they got told they're being cancelled and they basically wrapped things up with a TLDR at the very end of the final episode - seemed obvious to me that entire storylines of season 4 and 5 or however many seasons they had originally planned were more or less summed up to avoid ending it on a cliffhanger or with too many loose ends.

Season one was at least an 8/10, season two maybe 6-7/10 and season three 4-5/10.

    Overall 6/10.

I had the exact same experience. I feel like it'd be fine if they had planned from the beginning to end the story after maybe 6+6 episodes, Peter dead and all. So many shows drag on unnecessarily.

Still a good series with some greats.

Tokyo Vice is back and picking up in all aspects whether it left off. I wish Mann could direct every episode, but it’s still beautiful. This is probably the best show on TV right now, but I could be blanking.

True Detective: Night Country was incomprehensible trash that was shoehorned into the anthology. HBO should feel great shame. I was really into theories and stuff at first, but… nothing mattered, it seems. The Yellow King, carcoca, etc — why bring it up? So stupid.

Sad because a lot of the performances were good despite the weak ass writing.
