My biggest (and only) gripe with the show is the idea of sustaining the franchise. I wish it was a miniseries that ended after 8 episodes. I fear it will go on long past it's "best by" date and lose what made this season so tight and engaging.
Many of the shows we write here in the US tend to squeeze every last drop out of a series when the story would be much better served in shorter format.
I'm curious/worried about that as well, but it's been written well enough so far, I'm hoping they can do something like The Good Place and move past all the obvious and do a reset without a...

It's some quality BBC America stuff - I'm really hoping it "catches" because I think it deserves the attention, views, and hopefully... budget.
