p.s. I am genuinely excited for this new series. Taskmaster already seems like the perfect format for a gameshow for kids. And I think Mike Wozniak is a brilliant choice for a kid-friendly replacement for Alex, and ditto with Rose Matafeo for Greg.
This looks great! I love both Rose and Mike. The only worry I have is that part of the fun in the regular version is how ruthless some of the decisions are, I don't imagine they'll be doing that...

Well, just from the title, I was expected the taskmaster themselves to be in high school or something. Slightly disappointed! I'm sure the result will be great though.

I don't think there are many highschoolers who have the comedy chops to be a good Taskmaster or Assistant. AFAIK, the "Assistant" on every series has actually been the real showrunner...

AFAIK, the "Assistant" on every series has actually been the real showrunner behind-the-scenes too, who designs most of the tasks, amongst other things, so I don't know if I would trust a teen to do that either. :P
Of course, I'm aware Alex created the show. I don't think a younger child could be the taskmaster but a hand-picked older teen could probably pull it off. Either way, it's not a necessity, just a...
