    Dune: Prophecy - 8/10
I saw a lot of criticism about this show but I feel it's almost entirely undeserved. It has faults like 99% of other shows obviously, but it's exagerated in my opinion. The show takes place 10000 years before the Villeneuv movies and is about the beginnings of the Bene Gesserit. I really love the universe so maybe that makes me biased, but this show kept me entertained throughout and it was just awesome to see more! I haven't read the books so I can't speak to accuracy, but the show stands on its own. Definitely recommend it to those on the fence.

    Silo season 2 - 8/10

    Spoilers inside
I gave the same rating to season 1. They maintain the quality of the show. There are instances of too convenient elements like Lukas' rope by the digger being just a meter too short or some timings of things with Juliette being a little too fabricated. There are aspects that I felt were only just passable too, like the twist about the sudden appearance of the family in the silo is alluded to by some sounds here and there, so it's not totally unexpected but that they kept it hidden for almost the entire season and then reveal it through flashbacks at the end felt very cheap. That is the only true criticism I have though, like that's the only part I felt was actually *bad*. Some characters are not very interesting, but others make up for it. I really like the Sims' duo for example, and of course Rebecca Ferguson is really good. Cinematography also had some great moments especially the swimming scenes with Juliette. The show is very tense and bordered on horror at points which I struggle a lot with, but it never got beyond the point that I couldn't take it, so I feel like it did what it should and definitely paid off. The reveal all the way into the "server" room with the legacy vault was as cool as the reveal in season 1 about the surveillance with that mysterious in front of all those screens. So the mystery is pulled off well and the only thing worse than the family twist in the silo is that I have to wait so long for the next season!

I just started Dune, and it's great to see a non-negative review of it. I want looooore and so far I'm happy with the results.

That was all I hoped for too, going into it. It very much delivers! And since it's set so many millenia before the Villeneuve movies, nothing about it 'ruins' them. Like, I've heard people say The Hobbit trilogy negatively affects their enjoyment of The Lord of Rings trilogy (I don't get either argument but it's even more invalid for Dune: Prophecy. Really good all around!
