    In all seriousness, I still watch most episodes of SNL (even though it's not going through its best stretch) and I loved the movie, but I feel like British variety/panel shows are better. Maybe that's just because the best stuff is what makes it over to me, but I think there's potential for it to be good. Not sure how much Lorne is going to be involved. The article says he will be executive producer, but I'm not sure if he'll have the same amount of control. That would be a crazy workload, especially for an 80 year old.

      I'd imagine Lorne's involvement would be limited to overseeing the broader scope of the show, like giving final approval on the cast members. British humor can be pretty different from American humor though, so best to leave most of it up to locals who are more familiar with the local sense of humor.

      I don't believe for a second that Lorne will actually produce the two shows. I barely believe he produces regular SNL. There's no way. This is in name only.
