With that said, Dept. Q is great. Sort of Netflix's response to Slow Horses

DCI Carl Morck is a brilliant cop but a terrible colleague. His razor-sharp sarcasm has made him no friends in Edinburgh police. After a shooting that leaves a young pc dead, and his partner paralysed, he finds himself exiled to the basement and the sole member of Department Q; a newly formed cold case unit. The department is a PR stunt, there to distract the public from the failures of an under-resourced, failing police force that is glad to see the back of him. But more by accident than design, Carl starts to build a gang of waifs and strays who have everything to prove. So, when the stone-cold trail of a prominent civil servant who disappeared several years ago starts to heat up, Carl is back doing what he does best - rattling cages and refusing to take no for an answer.

Its got the same old 'your office is in the basement of the basement...' trope and everything.. but its actually good. Matthew Goode (Oxymandias, Watchmen, 2009; Robert Evans, The Offer 2022) is great.

Check the first episode. If you aren't absolutely hooked, never think of it again.

I gotta say Tires season 2 is really hitting it for me. The first season was okay and we got to know the cast and each of their quirks but this season they're really unfolding and it's quiet...

Just wow. I had a feeling I'd enjoy it going in since it's from the same people as Scavengers Reign, but wasn't expecting to be as drawn into enjoying the interactions between the different groups of side characters as much as I did.

Apparently it's already been renewed for a second season, so I've got that to look forwards to now.
