TV Tuesdays Free Talk
Have you watched any TV shows recently you want to discuss? Any shows you want to recommend or are hyped about? Feel free to discuss anything here.
Please just try to provide fair warning of spoilers if you can.
I used to love 24 and still do. But some things are pretty funny on rewatch. First, Bauer sedates his superior based on absolutely nothing. And now a cop who doesn't even know what CTU is decided to help him in on a chase instead of arresting him. Based on a badge she never saw before lol.
Also, why is the chief of a unit going around chasing people with guns? Don't they have a tactics unit? I mean the excuse is that he cannot trust anyone, but I am sure there is at least one tactical buddy he can rely on lol.
I don't think I ever watched it in full because back then you had to catch it on television, and I didn't even start watching on day one.
That show goes so fast into action that you don't have time to think about the details. I don't think I ever saw something like that on TV. Before or since. It is unabashedly fantasy, and yet it manages to give the illusion of being grounded. Great television.
Traitors Australia has been really great. I don't watch a lot / any reality TV outside of this and Top Chef. Anyway, its just a remarkable series. Traitors is typically pretty good, but S01 of this specific one was amazing then the second season was total shit... and they're back with this a gooder. Fun show.
edit: The Shards wrapped and I've really enjoyed it. The casting is great. Great to see Wes Bentley again --- feels like its been.... decades... even though I've seen him in Knight of Cups, Interstellar, and other things..
