There have always been two Picards: The diplomatic, philosophical one from The Measure of a Man and The Drumhead... and the dune-buggying, assault-rifling one from Starship Mine, Insurrection, and Nemesis.
Since this new show was announced I’ve been hoping it would be about the former, but knowing it will probably be more of the latter. Patrick Stewart’s really too old to be playing an action hero these days but I wouldn’t put it past him. Here’s hoping our fears are misplaced.
These sound more like lazy D&D characters than Star Trek characters.
