So, apparently they consulted mental-health experts so there probably is some reason for why cutting this specific scene was a problem? But isn't the whole show (disclaimer: read about it, found no reason to actually watch it) about as close to pop culture celebration of suicide as it gets? Isn't the "why" in the title a euphemism for "why I killed myself"? I mean, any suicide prevention tip I've ever heard kinda came down to not letting a suicidal person make the "why" connection of justifying suicide and the whole show seems to be a big drama about why someone came to the conclusion that it's absolutely the only solution to their problem? It's goddamn "10 things I hate about you" but for suicide.

I think the whole show was a horrible idea from the start, and I think multiple psychiatrists have agreed with you. But this particular scene was by a very large margin the worst thing about it...

But this particular scene was by a very large margin the worst thing about it all. Showing suicide in that level of graphic detail is simply not done. Removal of this is the very least they could do.
