    I'm genuinely excited for this - I feel like there's a good chance that this show will be able to capture the magic that Futurama did just because the absurdity of the setting will allow for them...

    I'm genuinely excited for this - I feel like there's a good chance that this show will be able to capture the magic that Futurama did just because the absurdity of the setting will allow for them to do basically anything, which was a big part of what made Futurama so special. I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be a much bigger hype around Disenchantment given the cult following that Futurama has.

      Futurama is one of my favorite series but I never cared for The Simpsons, so I'm trying to avoid disappointment if it turns out to not be great. I also don't really pay attention to American TV...

    I love wide-open universes with seemingly infinite possibilities for storytelling which is why I loved Futurama so much (and shows like Rick and Morty). I'm looking forward to this.
