This is so sad. I enjoyed seeing him in other roles but nothing will ever live up to Omar. I'm not just talking about Michael K. Williams though. IMO Omar is still the best character/performance...

IMO Omar is still the best character/performance in TV history. Omar was a character that left a wake of chaos and destruction everywhere he went but Williams turned him into someone that you can sympathize with and actively root for every time he is on screen. I'd imagine there are quite a few users on this site (particularly those under 25) that haven't seen The Wire. If there is one show that every American person living in a democratic society should see, it's The Wire. RIP.
