    I recently finished The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge. The core concept of plasticity is interesting, but the writing is way too hyperbolic and pitchy.
    Currently reading Range by David Epstein (lol at the last name, no known relation to the deceased sex offender to my knowledge). It argues against early specialization, making the case that generalists with broad, diverse experiences often outperform hyper-specialists in complex, unpredictable environments. It's very interesting so far!

    Like others have said, I have a lot of different favorite books, so I will give three recommendations.

    • Memory Craft by Lynne Kelly. This is an amazing book on the history of memory palaces and the wild implications of our brains and non-literary cultures.
    • The Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell. It is both gritty and "fairy-tale-ish" at the same time. It is fun, new, and familiar all at once.
    • American Gods by Neil Gaiman. This is despite the controversy and Gaiman being a dislikable person in general. The work stands apart from the author.

    I've only played for a few hours, but it's already clear how fun, polished, and well crafted it is. I love playing as the Regent, and the artwork is genuinely stunning. The mechanics are surprisingly addictive (well maybe not that surprising) in the best way. I really hope this game helps pave the way for more great Godot releases.
