Make sure to keep up with the blood tests to insure you're getting proper dosage, especially as your weight changes.

I wanted to emphasize this point, as I had this very problem recently. My dosage levels had been consistent for ages. Then I lost a bunch of weight and didn't even think about the consequences with my thyroid medication. Suddenly, I was still losing weight even during periods where I thought I was indulging a bit too much calorie-wise, I was sleeping less yet feeling rested, I felt like I could do anything. I didn't realize it was the meds until my next checkup showed my thyroid levels were way too high.

If not for the fact that it presumably has negative long-term health effects, I wouldn't have minded being like that all the time. It honestly felt a bit like having super powers.

It's been ages since I've seen Leprechaun 4, but the thing that stuck with me the most is that it was its own entire B-sci fi flick, and the leprechaun just happened to be wandering around in the background killing people. I always wondered if they wrote it from scratch, or if they bought the rights to the cheapest sci-fi script up for sale and then pasted in the leprechaun.

Because of this new trend, “the rate of bariatric surgery is going down worldwide and even here in the UAE,” he said, referring to gastric bypass and other weight-loss surgeries.

This is the bit that really caught my attention. Bariatric surgery is one of those "lesser of two evils"-type treatments that carries life-long consequences. This dropping rate of surgery opens up a whole new angle to the Ozempic issue and reframes it as something more complex than just "rich people getting ready for bikini season at the expense of diabetes patients".

Did Netscape have a paid version back in the day?

I seemed to vaguely recall that the free and paid versions were pretty much identical with people either getting it free directly from Netscape via FTP or buying it on disk in a store. I was able to confirm my memories via the Netscape Navigator Wikipedia page:

The first few releases of the product were made available in "commercial" and "evaluation" versions; for example, version "1.0" and version "1.0N". The "N" evaluation versions were identical to the commercial versions; the letter was intended as a reminder to people to pay for the browser once they felt they had tried it long enough and were satisfied with it. This distinction was formally dropped within a year of the initial release, and the full version of the browser continued to be made available for free online, with boxed versions available on floppy disks (and later CDs) in stores along with a period of phone support.

I kinda wonder if Netscape would still be a household name in tech if they had monetized things a little more aggressively.
