I’m a few hours into Vampire Crawlers and liking it. It’s pretty simple, but enjoyable if you also like the same sort of loop you get with Vampire Survivors. Cards go brrrr, it’s a fun time.
Mostly, I’ve been playing Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred. I picked it up on release, which also gave me Vessel of Hatred, which I hadn’t played yet. I played through vessel on a paladin and the story and fights were… okay at best. I mean, it’s more Diablo, which is good, but it didn’t grip me that much. However, I played Lord of Hatred on warlock and that expansion was incredible.
The story was awesome, the location was awesome, the boss fights were cool as fuck (with the final fight being one of the best boss fights I’ve played in a game), and I’m loving the reworks to the skill trees. It’s been a 10/10 experience so far.
I’m level 67 or something with warlock and I’ve never really played the end game in D4, so I’m excited to level up more and see what it’s about. That said, I’m a little bugged that a magic class can’t use staves, so I’m considering leveling up a sorcerer as well, idk.
I know D4 has some level of group content for dungeons, though I don’t suspect it will fill the Destiny shaped hole in my heart that I still have.
Along that line, if anybody has recommendations for good group content games in the year of our lord 2026, I’m all ears. Overwatch with friends is fun, but doesn’t have progression. WoW classic is too grindy for me these days, WoW retail might as well be single player, etc. I suspect I probably won’t find anything that ever feels quite the same, though. I haven’t been keeping up with the multiplayer gaming scene for a few months, so I just didn’t know if there’s a new hotness. I know in some regards it’s just going to be finding a game I can get friends to play with me, rather than the game itself being the magic, but still, I miss the level of cooperation and puzzle solving D2 had.

I do still watch a number of British shows and I do like British English in that it’s just more fun for certain words and phrases, but maybe a Brit that watches American shows would say try same.

The maple is about 10ft tall, one cherry is about 7 feet tall, and the last cherry is just a little guy, maybe 4 feet tall. I’m super excited to watch these grow!
I also picked up a couple of spirea shrubs and a lilac shrub. I’ll be putting those along my fence line in my back yard.
I’m still planning to start a native plant garden, but I’m going to either do that later this summer or next year. With my upcoming vacation, money and time is a little tight, but I at least wanted to get the trees in now, you know the saying.

EsteeBestee LinkI like the idea of chunky, I usually love crunchy foods, but every time I put it on toast or in a sandwich, I wish I used creamy instead.I like the idea of chunky, I usually love crunchy foods, but every time I put it on toast or in a sandwich, I wish I used creamy instead.

Good callout on getting euro coins. I guess idk how I’d even do that over there, go to an atm to get bills and then exchange them at a bank?

My hostas started coming back in again in the front. For the back, the plan is still to dig out a 15x10 foot space or so and start a pollinator garden. I’ll also be planting a couple of trees. I want to make sure to get the trees in this year at least.
I did make plans for an expensive vacation, so we’ll see if I get to the rest or not.

I have been looking up the various transit systems I’ll be using and downloading apps. That’s good to know about the tourism offices!
I do photography, so I will be taking some pictures of my own, but yeah, I will try not to be glued to my camera and actually experience things with my eyes.

I think I can make it all happen, but if I have to cut something, I’ll cut out a day from the Bergen portion. I was having a frantic night last night and freaking out about all the planning needed, but I planned out the second half of my trip and feel a lot better that half the work is done now.

It’s just a mk7 golf with better brakes and tires, but much better than a random rental car. I would love to drive a track prepped car, but I likely won’t fit in the small bucket seats being used, so I had to pick something with stock seats. My friend did the same last month, though, and had a great time.
I’ll have to check out the Porsche museum for sure!

There are some specific castles I want to see that seem to be inconvenient to reach via mass transit, which is why I’m planning on keeping the car for a couple more days (and so I can drive on the unrestricted parts of the autobahn, I am a car person). That said, the rental + fuel is expensive so we’ll see if I change my mind on that and just take the train.

There are replacement busses, but we'll see if those are running on the dates I would need them to. I can always fly to Trondheim instead or cut out the Steinkjer portion (the replacement busses add time), but I do want to have a train ride on this trip. I'll hope that the routes can be fixed. Either that or I could consider cutting the Trondheim/Steinkjer leg and doing the train to Bergen from Oslo. I don't necessarily want to cut out the Trondheim leg, but I might have to make a compromise somewhere.

I played maybe 8 hours of Returnal and thought it was okay, but it didn’t hook me as much as roguelikes and bullet hells usually do (the game should have been a slam dunk for me). Saros looks cool and possibly more refined, do you think it might hook someone a bit more than Returnal? I’ve been considering getting it, but if it’s mostly more of the same, idk.
