I'm sad /r/MensLib is still down. It seems like the only place on the internet where men can discuss gender issues without it turning into a misogynistic fuckfest

As for Romhacks, Pokemon Emerald Rogue is so much fun, and such a great, unique take on the games. I also enjoyed Team Rocket Edition, to scratch the itch I've had since childhood to play as them

I currently have one pet, a Shar Pei-Lab mix dog named Judy!. She will be 6 in October.

She's been disabled since April 2021, when she had a traumatic spinal injury. She's had to relearn how to walk with her back legs, and unfortunately has not learned how to control her pee and poo, hence the diaper. She's still extremely adorable of course, and she loves swimming and playing fetch (though her legs can sometimes drag if she's active for too long). I love my front-wheel-drive doggo.

I'd like to see more games with breakable/movable objects and in-depth physical worlds. Katamari Damacy is a great example of that, though it's a singular weird entity that I don't think can ever be replicated. Teardown is another example.

Another thing I'd like to see is more games that are full of secrets and codes to decipher. Something like Tunic, where even the text is a challenge.

I think AI (or at least LLMs) have potential to make games' worlds feel a bit richer, like they could be used to generate random crap NPCs say in games like Grand Theft Auto to make the world feel more alive. But they'll never replace actual writing of plots and missions.

    Hello!

I just joined Tildes today after Reddit decided to commit seppuku. Seems cool so far.

I'm a 25-year-old from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I like linguistics, writing, and taking care of my disabled doggo. I'm also an unabashed furry, my sona is a big orange crocodile :3

I like to play Age of Empires II and Left 4 Dead 2, if you're into those please ask for my steam name! I'd love to make new friends.
