I got into a discussion with an extended family member a few weeks ago about Covid. As I like to research assertions that are made to me, I put together this spreadsheet. Mostly just a mish-mash of stats pulled from usafacts.org, the CDC, and Wikipedia. I don't have an agenda and had simply tried to put together some visualizations about Covid19 and Influenza.

I would love to get feedback on the charts (especially as it relates to the r2 degree) and any corrections/better sources.

If a person disagrees with the political stance of a CEO (e.g. Starbucks/Chik-Fil-A) or company (CloudFlare/Hobby Lobby), they should 1000% vote with their dollars (and let the market decide). But it's completely asinine to think that if that same position is held by a "regular" person and they are "found out", that they could be hunted down and made to be unemployable. I wouldn't want it to happen to me, and I would never, ever want it to happen to people with whom I vehemently disagree.

I was watching the latest Key & Peele (You Gotta Hear This Funk Band) episode and was reminded of this hilarious metal video from 2018. Enjoy!

This is good. I definitely thought it could've been left as a mental illness story, not occult, and have been just as (or more) terrifying. I, too, thought Annie as an unreliable narrator would've worked well (after all, Steve didn't seem to react at all the way someone who'd seen something supernatural -- Even so far as to write an email to a psychologist about his wife... Why would you do that, if you saw supernatural stuff?).
