It hits a little bit of the nostalgia nerve since it definitely makes me miss the days of being able to relate to people with music, without having to get into the weeds any other personal nuances.
But mostly just helps with my minds pace and clarity....

Comment on What is an SBAT and why does everyone suddenly care? in ~tech
Jaeger I can tell you why I care. I completed a PowerPoint that was due for a class the next day. Save the file to my dual boot laptop, not in the cloud as I usually do, shut down my computer. Go to boot up Windows later all of a sudden get a "something went seriously wrong," error on boot up.
After prowling around on the internet, see a 5-hour old article saying how it was the last Windows up date that broke my grub boot. Luckily it was a quick, but not permanent fix, to get my PowerPoint turned in on time.

Jaeger I discovered Crow: City of Angels first, so it holds a special place in my heart. Both soundtracks are awesome and are in my regular rotation.I discovered Crow: City of Angels first, so it holds a special place in my heart. Both soundtracks are awesome and are in my regular rotation.

Comment on If I want to bulk up a box of cake mix or muffin mix, do I need to add extra eggs/oil? in ~food
Jaeger I have done this in the past, it makes it more like a pound cake with that sponginess. I don't usually add any additional moisture or oil to the batter though.I have done this in the past, it makes it more like a pound cake with that sponginess. Maybe it's a sign of my age, but commercialized experiences have deflated my eagerness to give new things a try. Ultimately, they rob the nostalgia of my memories, which in reality were probably built on different values other than the presents or spectacles that defined traditions.
This is especially true when trying to create lasting and wholesome memories with kids.
I wish people could pump the brakes on stroking their nostalgia nerve and just be present in what they have.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the people in power have a desire to mitigate the influence this has on their residents. The only thing that may change it for the residents is if this attraction gets so big that it makes it unbearable to attend. However, I have seen that desire to be fulfilled to be so great that people will blow through savings, wait in long lines and create more stress just to feel a miniscule volume of peace from an earlier time.
