I'm following a page on instagram that has been posting some snippets from the protests, and honestly the sight is chilling.
It doesn't help that they literally speak the same language as us, and even the streets look like where I'd grown up. Imagining this happening back "home" is too easy, and very chilling. I was born in Russia
