At times similar movies like Hangover and Bridesmaids allowed me to suspend my judgment with the absurd comedy scenes and feel kind of involved, but with Joy Ride I thought the senselessness of some dialogue and how they reacted to them completely detached from their characters really made it feel like fiction. I felt that as the movie went on, while Audrey (the lawyer) began as the sort of balanced logical thinker and Lolo was the comic, eventually none of them operated on any reasonable guidance and it felt like everyone was just “the comic”. Still it is an achievement as a movie for sure, while also having an all Asian-American (edit: main) cast (I heard it was the first one since Joy Luck club?).

I took the story more about how the characters look for meaning and a grand scheme in a life where decisions, even choosing the right one given the information and objectively-directed impulses we have at that time, end up causing pain and regret and are at times senseless despite the achieved goal being the ideal.
Watching Saltburn for me was a waste of my life. It seemed too contrived and a lot of the scenes were gratuitous and made no sense no matter how I thought the main character was sociopathic. The ending song is a banger though and I’m all for people using it on social media as they are now.
Haven’t seen the others! I always thought Leo DiCaprio was a good actor though, but I imagine he might be more inclined to experiment now that he’s won an Oscar (and is safe).

These games are often simple rehashes that use the same engine/models/sprites/addictive gameplay of other ad-driven games with some tweaks. Many of them have ads that entice you to play another game, some of which allows you a brief play-through inside the ad, and in turn those games’ ads might also feature the game you were originally playing.
Even if you do pay to remove the ads, a lot of the interesting aspects of these games that allow you a sense of achievement aren’t actually achievable unless you pay for them.

Maybe in spez’s mind getting rid of third-party apps with very little forewarning was just a gamble to have a higher IPO valuation. But never mind that it negatively affects so many people with accessibility issues or like me who liked reddit because of Apollo - but emphasizing you are a profit-based company and resorting to vilifying these third-party vendors in an attempt to gain some sort of empathy is really unethical and I can’t bring myself to think I am anything else but a product. Trust thermocline is real.
On the other hand just because everything’s good on whatever media and content you’re taking in doesn’t mean that it is. 2 of 9 countries holding nukes are currently at war, both of which are losing global support. It’s not entirely unthinkable that they’d do something drastic.
