I was aware of and spent some time on digg and reddit, then fully joined reddit during the digg exodus. I really liked moving back to a place with anonymous usernames, so I gave up Facebook fully around 2013 and spent a lot more time on Reddit.

Comment on Does anyone else listen to any D&D podcasts? in ~games.tabletop

I've listened to The Adventure Zone and Nerd Poker in the past, but haven't kept up in recent years.

It has come a long way in the past few years, and Steam Deck holds a lot of promise to expand it even further. Games I've been playing recently include Factorio, Satisfactory, Cities Skylines, and Assassin's Creed Valhalla (though this one has been tricky, as usual for a lot of AAA games and Linux)

I've had a reddit account for over 10 years, but now that rif will no longer be working I'm not interested in accessing the site any other way. I was never much of a poster, mostly lurking and voting quality content, occasionally making a joke or two. I shared a funny Trump meme that got me 10k karma back on 2016. I'm not much of a political person, but I guess that's the extent of my internet fame.
I like the style of this site so far. I hope to be entertained by you all while I'm pooping or killing time at work.

Comment on I need casual, easy going games to help me relax. So, Tildes, what you got? in ~games
brojack Factorio would be my suggestion. It scratches all those itches for a good casual building game. Can be quite complex, but in a very good way and the overall difficulty is up to how you want to play the game. Options are easily configurable, and there is a great mod community if you want to change things up.
Emudeck is pretty easy to setup and opens up a wide range of emulation options for the Steam Deck. That has been the biggest personal game changer as far as capabilities of the Steam Deck.
