Yeah, it was Tuta. Was (and still is) not in a place to afford a good email subscription, so I was trying out Tuta since they have a free tier like Proton. Tuta ask you to write a letter to support to detail why you use it to avoid abuse, been sending quite a few emails spread over a month but no dice. I'd image they're far more amenable to paid user, but then why just not accept free users in the first place. For now, I would stop migrating away from gmail until I was able to afford to a paid one

Unrelated, but I so so hate company stop using forum or at least reddit as their Q&A platform. Discord can't be indexed and their built-in search can be finicky at the best of time

I'm doubtful that ChatGPT can work as hint guide on anything that is not common knowledge. But yeah, hope it catches on normal people about current AI limitation

That doesn't look like an attitude that mess well with life. I rather hope they ignorant or trollish/humour in ChatGPT response.

Not who you asked this follow up to, but I suspect it is as simple as not wanting to be responsible/blamed/called out on errors or problems. Relaying ChatGPT answers let's you claim the glory of it is good, and avoid responsibility if it is bad.

This I understand, but I wonder why with the preface. Are they feeling guilty of relies on it, but still want to be helpful? Because with the internet ability to call-out answer as AI and not just ill/misinform is suspect at best, just omit the warning, and it will take a long while (or maybe never) for people to point out while argue with them

This behaviour is thankfully not common on tildes? But like, I understand that if they try to pass off as their own argument. But what with the preface "I ask ChatGPT" and then end with "I don't know enough about topic" or "What do you think". What do they think how that contribute to the discussion? If OP want to ask ChatGPT-like answer, they can just log on and do it right there and then. And they clearly know the stigma and drawback of it (at least I hope so), but still believe it has enough factual information in the answer despite having little or no knowledge of the topic in question (Otherwise they will edit the output or outright just provide it).

(Sorry, if this come out not clearly, I am not very good as convey my idea, even in my native language)

And said policy of appeasement came from weariness of the great war, you can't convince the population whom still held antisemitism idea that going to war again German was a good idea then. Not to mention the state of their land forces. The appeasement did bring crucial time for British rearmament.

The Eastern front can't happen later because both political realities, resource/oil and the fact that USSR also building it own force. If he was smarter in the year earlier leading the war then all France, British and USSR would happily be sitting out (until USSR messing with Poland, it had been a sore point since interception of USSR).

I would not put any stock on Lenin, simply because he is the one throwing the election result and the one who forming the secret police. And let not forget that Lenin want Trotsky and not Stalin to be in charge, which mean 5 years plan still happened, and a more antagonist West because of USSR meddling. Which mean there potential USSR is the one that got in war with the Nazi first, due to USSR try to nip the problem and oh boy look at that, a common enemy for Europe to unite again.

Nukes didn't exist without Nazi scientists

Who? The nuke we drop on Japan were a bluff, yes, but complete naval blockade was another consideration for the Japanese. And France like it or not was far more easily to invade naval wise compare to Japan (of which was considering only has two place). The war will be won with the Western allies alone, German has not enough naval force to invade and keep a foothold on British, and US can outproduce, outgun and outbomb the Nazi war machine.

(Also US going to have much more bomb in 1946 to start planning to use it tactically)
